WHAT PEOPLE SAY

TEAM MEMBER

Today the Valiant team undertook our DISC workshop and it was an incredible learning experience.

The session helped us to gain a deeper understanding of our individual working styles, as well as identifying each of our stressors and motivators in the workplace.

We talked through the 4 main personality types and how each tends to interact with others. It's fascinating how our different styles impact our communication and relationships. We learned how we can each adapt our ways of working and communication styles to better connect with our colleagues of other styles and work more effectively together.

Something I really love about working at Valiant Design is that we all see the value in a strong team dynamic and that we respect each other's differences. It's not just OK that we're all a bit different, it's GREAT. Why? Because we complement each other.

Big thanks to Leslie Woodcock for facilitating our workshop today and thank you Tina Keeble for introducing us to the world of DISC and for prioritising us, always.

DIRECTOR

The value in my role as Project Manager/Leader in a matrix structure without direct reports is significant. I rely heavily on influence to deliver my responsibilities and the focus on how to work better with colleagues will be extremely valuable.

The ability to practice assessing others for their DiSC style, discuss the impact on effectiveness and discuss specific real-world challenges has helped to bed this in as a technique I aim to employ immediately.

Leslie's willingness to challenge and make observations based on his broad experience added an extra dimension to the DiSC Management workshop.

CEO

I recently undertook a DiSC workshop with my senior team and was delighted with the positive impact this had.

The DiSC workshop provided a real insight into each individual’s own character, as well as their colleagues across the business. This insight helped improve the way people interacted with each other and to develop more effective working relationships, as awareness and understanding of people’s behaviours increased.

Several workshop participants have remarked to me since that the DiSC workshop helped them to improve the way they interact with and manage their teams. As a result of the success of the DiSC workshop, we intend to roll this out across the wider organisation this year.

In addition, we have recently started to use DiSC as part of our recruitment process."
